Darkness,  darkness how ominous and how scary…

yet charming oh and so inviting like
a luring vice and dense desire
But it’s not me to peek for dirty thrills behind uncouth curtains
Darkness,  darkness how ominous
and how scary!
Eyes closed it is darkness, darkness yes…
but eyes when opened darkness, darkness oh!
A life in solitude discerns
no sunny day from moonless night…
It’s all but gloom and gloom, a hopeless gloom…
Darkness, darkness how ominous
and how scary!
The slim moonbeams are feeling ugly plump
failing to filter through the tender foliage;
the howls of neighbor wolves
are frightening away the heartening winds it seems…
Darkness, darkness how ominous
and how scary!
My wakeful eyes try inventing brave daydreams

in deep inner vistas of soul
my awry beats of heart

try hear some sweet ragas in open air.
Aha a timid fight against the daunting fright;
a hopeless hope against a gripping hopelessness…

Darkness, darkness how ominous
and how scary!
Oh let me try a piece of chalk
on darkness slate
and tune the strings of silent solitude;
in Abaddon oh let me find a  never-never land and build castles of sand around my jittery mind…
Darkness, darkness how ominous
and how scary!
