Closed eyes unblinking
Nothing at all disturbing
Visibly, all in darkness
Invisibly, brightness sparkling.
Bypassing those pseudo smiles
Evading the tortuous snides
Hedging the piercing knives
Eluding the brutal bites.
So quiet, so silent, so peaceful.
This solitude, so powerful
The soliloquy, so understood
The spell, so meaningful.
Keeping malicious stings at bay
Jumping over the quagmires stray
Celebrating the serenity at play
Opening arms to each new day.
Smiling through this joyful respite
Hugging close in absolute delight
Radiating energies lively and bright
Encompassing all in a shining light.
