Slow me down O! Lord, let me not rush O! Lord……
Teach me quality of ease, in tackling all my tasks.
Let me not rush O! Lord……
Slow me down O! Lord, let me not rush O! Lord……..
Ease the pounding of my heart, with Your silence in my mind.
Let me have a peace within, of a type that is Your kind.
Slow me down O! Lord, let me not rush O! Lord……….
Remind me of the Tree, towering, tough & strong,
And know it has so grown, within & taking time….
Slow me down O! Lord, let me not rush O! Lord……..
Break the tensions of my nerves, with a soothing prayerful song,
And let me know for everything, I have sufficient time.
Slow me down O! Lord, let me not rush O! Lord………
Fill my mind to fullness, with all Your noble thoughts,
And so venture in deeds, those you bless, I ought.
Slow me down O! Lord, let me not rush O! Lord………

Put all your thoughts aside
Don’t rush to answer the phone
Let the phone ring
As much as it wants to
Don’t rush to open the door
Take charge of your breath
And walk with measured steps
Towards your door
As you slowly open the door
Think not of any TV programmes
That may come and that may go
Forget the idiot box
It shows all idiotic things.
Yes, do all this to touch your base & be at peace,
and then at ease use your time for enlightening & invigorating pastimes; …….
