The Glass of Water

The glass is half empty
Says the Pessimist

The glass is half full
Says the Optimist

The glass is half full
And half empty
At the same time
Please see
The complete picture
Says the Realist

And while
The three argue on it
The Opportunist arrives
And drinks the glass of water

However, it must be said
That it is the realist
Who is the reason
For the opportunist
To enter the scene
And drink the glass of water

Without the realist
There would be no arguments
There would be curtains
On the sight for truth
It is the argument of the realist
That is enough reason
That the opportunist
Can enter the scene

    Food for thought.
Gives good scope for discussion and rumination. Kusum

    Nice poem for rumination
But while arguing no one seems concerned about the concern of glass or the water for we assume it is none of their concern when the fact is they should be the ones most concerned …. :)
