English Poetry

I would love to walk barefoot from spring to autumn

through silver anniversaries  and platinum,

For my life is the crystal flowing river singing my songs

full of poesies , rhythms , pains and moans .

Time is the infinitesimal Poetry,

Where Sunshine brings songs of mortality ,

and sunset stirs barren  and dark dreams,

while death portends the end of all schemes .

Forgotten memories rap on the closed doors,

And long shadows stalk in the corridors.

Mystic Faith crouches on the sidewalks

Awaiting dawn by the fountains where Art talks.

Like the discarded and ancients historical coins

found cast in the excavations of the rambling ruins .

Give ear unto my song and hear

the outrageous pain of soul filled years

Turn into stirring symbolic strings

to tune the reeds with   myriad holes

O  ! listen to the music of the flutes,

Behold ! the heartbeats  playing softly,

Delicately, in subtle playful melodies.

Give ear unto my song and hear,

the overwhelming joy  of soul- filled years!!.

.

    Very complicated poem.
Plenty of imagery to ponder upon.
    ‘live’ should be’life’ perhaps.
    Striking phrases/lines –
    “mystic faith crouches…”
    “Art talks like…discarded historical coins…”
    “heartfelt beats playing softly…”
    And the grand finale –
    “Overwhelming joy of soul-filled years.”
    Great composition.
