( With due apologies to  W. Shakespeare).

 

Yesterdays and yesterdays and yesterdays 

rushed speedily from day to night 

to the last decimal speed of light.

 

PUFF! PUFF! You virginal engine,

Life’s but  a  moving metro train

that stops, rushes  and  gushes,  

from  station to station

in faster and newer versions . 

 

It’s but a tale of Passion , 

writ by a desolate fool in a flurry 

his orations and his narrations 

of Love , Hate and Glory 

make  but  an incomplete story .

 

Yesterdays and yesterdays and yesterdays, 

rushed speedily from day to night 

to the last decimal speed of light.

    Time is fleeting fast..
    But human brain can alone grasp fading memories in the time capsule of words..

      This is inspired by Shakespeare’s sonnet in Macbeth
      ‘To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,
      Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
      To the last syllable of recorded time;
      And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
      The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
      Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player,
      That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
      And then is heard no more. It is a tale
      Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
      Signifying nothing.’
