English Poetry

Before I am summoned to sleep,

Let me compose my thoughts just passed by.
With smoke billowing of my mouth,
Strange feelings engulfed me.

The tree , now saplings in the dead of the night,
Against the backdrop of the light .
I would not be here as you lay listless,
But you are the witness to my feelings.

Life has changed, so has the priorities,
Moments are governed now by different activities.
I am in love with my daughter,
From now and hereafter.

Thoughts as poetry condense and rain,
With no harvest or in literature plain.
Thoughts and thoughts and how so far it has remained,
But once in a while I do capture what’s ingrained.

I wish to write but fail to abide,
Perhaps now melancholy is a distant fellow.
Let me as is  in this state continue to ride,
Let happiness as is be on my side .

    There is plenty to quote.
There is a great feeling of the quiet time of reflection.

beautiful poem of a mind fertile
waiting for creativity again to smile
    beautifully hinted is the problem
which has changed priorities for a while
Hidden seems to be the cause for this turmoil

Hearty Kudos for the poem & its poetry

      @medhini,
      Krishna,
Thoughts converge smoothly towards blissful sleep.
‘as is’ in last two lines could be cut out to make the lines sound correct.Last line could read as follows –
‘Let this happiness be on my side.’
      Kusum

A nice compilation of thoughts into poem. As we turn adult, our life changes and so does our priorities. Once called childhood adorned by innocence is no more and it’s manifestation into adulthood is burdened with everyday responsibilities. Like expressed in the last line, one needs to be happy as well, amidst his problems, to balance his life.
