Ha! Sun! Were you playing
hide and seek, all these days
while there’s heavy
downpour making the earth
wet, soaked up and soft?

Ha! Sun! now come out
of your secret dwelling,
radiate sunshine on the earth
and human hearts
with warm delightful rays
regenerating vigour and vitality
of birds and animals
big or small, noisy or mute.

Ha! Sun! Send rays near me
to whisper in my ear
what do the birds and breeze sing
better than many a ballad
and the music of my heart
to give me solace and peace,
in a shiny sunnier climate
shedding away my gloom
and your intriguing mystery.

Liked immensely what you are telling The Sun to सुन (listen) after the rains…
I enjoyed the whole poem reading सुन & not Sun and was pondering what if fpr the “Sun” it would have been “Listen” in this poem ” Intriguing Mystery”

    Medhini,
    a lovely playful piece.
All things have their time for goodbyes and welcomes.
    “the music of my heart
to give me solace and peace,
    in a shiny sunnier climate
shedding away my gloom” – nice image
