English Poetry

woman and waves

Cornered by the rushing waves

Caught up against rocks on either sides

Where only crane and fish dives

The wet black rough edge

Caught up against rocks on either sides

Beneath the finger tips

Hands gripping for dear life besides;

For if she let go waves would swallow

Where crane and fish only dives

For as far as eyes could see

Ocean blue and green in frenzy spies

Who would come to the rescue?

The wet black rough edge

Scratching her soft skin

Almost as if it had taken a pledge

To her blood win!
