English Poetry

      If something lovely,

      denied arbitrarily

      one craves and craves endlessly.

                       *

      Sensible to imagine

      the plight of one

      who is not allowed

to know the taste of a special food,

      he likes heartily, craves more.

                             *

Pity the one who wants to sleep well

but it’s denied, feels the hell,

      craves – reasons may vary

      as the boss may

      dictate terms and conditions.

                           *

      Who doesn’t crave for love

especially, when it’s about to lose?

       None empathizes! Just implausible.

Liked your poem. Just thought that the title “Cravings” would be more suitable.
