Crowned Poem, English Poetry

Eons of dormant desires crystallise in a moment’s clasp.

Is this the truth, or just a mirage?

No matter what, hold on, hold on,

Its so comfortimg, so fleeting.

In the desert of the heart love blossoms to fruition.

Is this the truth, or just a mirage?

No matter what, feel it, feel it,

Its so beautiful, so frail.

Through the labyrinth of frustration

The soul seeks out the source of bliss.

Is this the truth, or just a mirage?

No matter what, drink in, drink in,

So long as it quenches the thirst.

Kusum G.

    Kusum,
Profound , with deeper undertones of philosophy ,where to feel ,hold and drink the truth is to understand its mirage-like quality. All lines are good .

      @SARALA,
      Kusum,
Only cactii bloom in the desert, they have a rare beauty ,so too, the love that blooms despite the apparent external thorns . Again, the Vedic philosophy …enjoy the moment ,don’t lose its essence by rationalising … even a single clasp can last a lifetime……the mirage memories linger forever…..so many dimensions in so few words ..
      BRILLIANT !!!!

    Kusum,
beautiful. Rain changing the face of the desert, mirage, heart, water, drink. The imagery’s meaning seems to shimmer and change.
Drinking in a mirage to slake the quest for knowledge and give endurance,

Inspiring poetry. When we can see blossoms in ruins, there is no place for woe and pain.
