Tell me the secret…?”
We met indeed after a very long time.
With a cryptic smile in her eyes,
She said,
“Oh, you seem to be enjoying your old age,
Tell me the secret?”
I said, “Nothing,
Just that I am growing old,
Gratefully & gracefully,
Remaining thankful to all
& the Almighty”
She abruptly departed,
With a queer expression in her eyes,
I could not fathom.
Leaving me perplexed.
Will she ever realize?
My gratefulness and gracefulness,
Has always been her gift to me,
For & from the little time we spent together,
Many many years ago.
