This city built and formed on the legacies of great men,
now built into boredom,
The rich grow richer,
frustration taking its toll on the poor,
And as crime rises all calls for help cease.

Those crazy contradictions coming to the fore again and,
its sad to see the beauty of these onion domes drowned,
By bitterness of what seems like,
a disillusioned one track mind of the youth,
Whose immense history simply overwhelms their simple minds.

And as they strive to reach out to the west as if stepping into the dark,
the reality and honesty,
Lie dead on those communist burial grounds.
The nightmare of the purges returns.

    Arda,
great write on the situation afflicting Moscow/Russia.
“And as they strive to reach out to the west as if stepping into the dark,” a very apt line.
The Cheka never really went away,

But i just wanted to add no disrespect to this city, it is beautiful and the pace of the city along with its vibe is unbelievable..
