Mute Eyes !

Eyes lovely eyes, so big and bold
From childhood till day they express
Express feelings of within, of the soul
Though none conveyed truthfully

When a child, they always longed
Longed for the toys and those chocolates
But were taught never to ask for things
Thus eyes said ‘YES’ and the mouth lied

Teenage eyes, fell in love
But were taught to be shy
Heart pined and yearned to be loved
Thus eyes said ‘YES’ but the mouth lied

A young woman, ready for marriage
Met a man chosen by parents
Heart cried as he was not the one
Thus eyes said ‘NO’ but had to say yes

A middle aged woman now
Still longs for the best of things
Bigger flat and best school for kids lure
Thus eyes say ‘YES’ and poor pocket denies

Old age will also follow and I pray
Oh god, please dont betray EYES
Let them speak up in bold
Fulfill all the dreams they Hold !

Nice one liked it immensely.

I have felt that this is actually a story of the heart spoken through eyes when mouth has to remain a spectator and hand has aided the eyes to pen what the heart wants to say. :-)

Vandana Singh Mishra Reply:

@Vishvnand, Very true Vishvnand Ji….God has kept the heart hiden deep within, and all its desires are spoken through the eyes…and mouth being loud often silences the eyes and takes over !

happy eyes, sad eyes, mute eyes, talkative eyes, mischievous eyes, dangling eyes, poor eyes, rich eyes…..loved it…:-)
