Absence.

Did I imagine the softest kiss?
Was it a dream of lips that brushed my cheek?
A ghost that glided through the bedroom door?
Did I receive what she was giving?

There was eerie quiet…
Absence, unoccupied space…
All shrouded in silent fog…
Cloaking, seeping, dulling…

Feeling the tires lose grip,
Held the wheel but how much control?
A thin film of moisture and such a disconnect.
A full car but one passenger missing.

Feeling strangely alone.
She was not there.

Nor in the evening,
Or for the mid-night film,
“As Good As It Gets”,
And emotions welling.

She is not here…

Thank you Rajdeep,

Beautiful. Liked it.
Shows that commonsense has to be absent in feeling & enjoying the absence.

@Vishvnand,
Vishvnand,
maybe it is uncommon sense that feels the absence even for a day after 20+ years. This is what I was trying to convey through one days happenings.
Can we live without air, water? still less the touch or presence of one to whom we have given our lives?,

Beauty!, Gion, this is love personified and living along with both of you; and then this love lovingly manifests in all areas and aspects of life making it beautiful. And such love needs such absence to recharge it from time to time.
