AWAITING FOR HUNTED MOTHERS……

Yesterday,I happened to notice,
The child of my neighbour,
Late in the night,
On my street,
Awaiting for his working Mother !

Aftersometime,I went near him,
He received a phone call.
But,shocked to see his,
Wet eyes and cold body.
He was lingering for someone !

When I questioned him,
I came to know,
That, his Mother met with an accident.
And,he was waiting for his Dad,
To take him to that hospital !

Likewise,Every Mother Tigers,
Goes in quest of food,
Every night,
Leaving the young ones,
Alone in their caves !

The young ones await,for
Months and years,with a hope
That the Mothers would return.
But,are not aware of the fact,
That,they had been hunted !

**I got this idea by seeing a vodafone ad,which is about preventing the destruction of Tigers!

Aarthika,
I was caught out by the switch in verse 4.
This is a touching piece but I think should be 2 poems.
For me I cannot jump from the human story (especially as a father) to the animal story,
Gion

Thanks for your comments buddy….You may be right…but my intention is to mingle these two things as one, coz we people see only the tears of human beings and that too the people near us..and we do fail to look at the tears \ feelings of animals…thats why these two different ideas are crafted together in a single poem Gionji….what u say?
