“No Life Without Wife”
“No Life Without Wife”
*******************
Man is a social animal, scornfully also a civilized beast,
Endeavouring ever to rejoice life, choosing best food and feast !
Father-Mother, Brother-Sister, Son-Daughter, Uncle-Aunt,
All be the grown flowers of a fertile family plant !
# Feminine genders grow all these flowers, planted by masculine powers,
Children become men and women, spending round-the-clock hours !
All relations jointly rejoice life, superlative being only the wife !
“No life without wife”, as she only stands by, even in moments of strife!
# Save in the case of a virago, wife is a wheel to carry on life’s cart to go !
A virago ever preserves her arrogant ego, rendering relations liable to forgo,
Aggressive remains she wherever to go, never ready leisurely to bow low !
Thus she vitiates homely atmosphere with her belying bravado!
# Hence, always choose a bride, who seems to be of your life’s pride,
She should be well taught by her parents so as to be a family guide !
To prove her prudence after marriage to uphold relations of each side!
And she should be wise enough to prevent family from going to divide!

A beautiful poem portraying
an ideal woman and her
qualities and pointing the
necessity of her role in life to
go on,,Ashwinji.
Beautiful Sirji…..
Agree with sirji (V A Ji) & Medhiniji….
meaningful poem with very good style
loved it sir
Liked it very much. The message and the way, both.
Good one…
A very different style and well written…

1) Born: 14-03-1936 (Bikaner-Rajasthan)
2) Caste: Goswami Brahmin.
3) Religion: Sanatan Dharm. (Devotee of Mother Universe-Jagadamba)
4) Status: Pensioner (Retired A.A.O.)
5) Hobbies: Deep devotion, Music (A veteran musician), Chess, Solving
crossword puzzles and writing proses/verses in English,
Hindi, Brij Bhasha etc. A veteran flautist & Synthesizer/Harmonium Wizard.
Very beautiful meaningful poem though told in light witty style enlightening the important role of women, particularly all wives in noble families and hence the need for care & discretion while selecting a new entrant in the family. This being a lost wisdom today the younger generation may not find it important or acceptable, but it doesn’t matter.
The fact is always a fact.
Ashwini Kumar ji, thanks very much for writing the beautiful poem & sharing it here.
