Treacherous Dependence……..!(Re 26/11)

When you have some important work to do,
And would need somebody to do it for you
Nobody will immediately come forward,
To say that he will do.
The work may be a very simple one,
which anybody can do,
But everybody will shirk his responsibility,
Hoping that somebody will always do.

We must be very aware & careful
Of these four so called available assistants,
Somebody, Everybody, Anybody & Nobody.
Which you think, are available to you,
They are treacherous & will stump you
At times you least expect them to…

To explain explicitly an example,
In an office, some work was in the offing
It was important but simple for doing
Everybody thought somebody will easily do it,
In fact anybody could have easily done it,
But as you would have it, ultimately nobody did it.

Serious lapses always take place,
Whenever you depend on these body’s
Without having defined clear responsibilities….

Coming to think of it,
Is it that our Authorities were also relying on these 4 body’s’?
For organizing intelligence & action, that resulted in the lapse,
To allow the terrorist bodies to enter in ghastly disguise
& cause mayhem, killing so many kith & kin of our nation
And cause havoc & tragedy of such large proportion?????

The above was the poem I penned.
Last year after what had happened,
But looking to the “passing the buck” situation,
still very evident in official deliberations
Don’t know if we have organized & learnt,
To put these body’s in their proper place & stance,
Such that now on them we don’t ever depend,
And incident of such kind don’t happen again….!

And most important, not superficially,
But as indebted people of the whole nation,
Honor all the martyrs & their immediate families.
Very respectfully with appropriate compensations,
And continual acknowledgment always evident
That these families should feel & say “ Cared for, we have been…!”

A good poem, written in time as a whole year is
completed after that terrible mayhem. Vishvji, You
are nearing for a 5centuries take. Congrats.

Thank you so very much for your encouraging & delighting comments on this poem as also my other poems and your kind observation & appreciation of my score at posting. I acknowledge these with gratefulness to you for you had similarly advised & encouraged me when nearing my hundredth poem, which I can never forget.
I also wish that your passion and inspiration continues to grow similarly towards composing more & more fine poems as you always do to a figure everyone will feel proud and provide you with fulfillment of a high order when looking back at your work.
