An old friend : Anger

I  let  it  go  away,

On  a  fine  rainy  day,

Though  all  the  things  were  just  the  same,

Someone  was  playing  a  funny  game.

I  lost  a  dearest  friend  that  day,

I  will never  miss  him, I  thought, I  prayed.

Oh! I  felt  fear, I  was  afraid,

It  was  a  rainy  day  of  the  7th  grade.

But  then  I  felt  happier  than  before,

As  if  all  the  sorrows  and  the  troubles  wore,

No  frowns, but  smiles  all  around,

And  my  feet  on  the  ground,

Made  a  cheerful  sound.

As  time  passes  by,

I  feel  no  need  of  that  friend  of  mine,

I’ve  earned  many  friends  as  he  departed,

And  they  now  ask  me, why  we  parted ?

I  have  no  answers  to  their  query,

Just  like  once, I  hadn’t  any  for  their  fury,

I  see  too  much  anger  in  this  world  all  around,

Lol! Do  I  exist  for  the  balance  of  sound ?

A beautiful, meaningful poem.
Liked very much.
This is a friend whom we can not hate or fight with, for then it never leaves us. We can part with it only by profound love & healthy understanding as highlighted in the poem.

Arshaj,
I liked this one. There is a serenity to it.
