Gone

Would you think of me if I am gone?
Hidden away in a place with no hurt, no cries, no pain?
A place to be free
Released from the torments that held me captive
Always the prisoner

With their endless chains suffocating my mind
Trying to guide my emotions
Steering me along the path that they have laid
I will not be the marked token any longer
I will not be thought of as gone away.

It was easy to throw the final stone
Forever casting a ripple in the tranquil sea
A sea that brought me a calming peace
Never knowing the eminent danger
Of a love, a time, a soulful coexistence
That was never meant to be

Now it is different…and you are not the same
Creating a disaster, perfectly without thought
Changing like the wisps of the wind
Always willing to surrender to an endless fight
This fight that I have brutally fought

So this time I ask…
Would you think of me when I am gone?

A great piece of emotion, confusion..
The turmoil is there
” orever casting a ripple in the tranquil sea
A sea that brought me a calming peace”
” Creating a disaster, perfectly without thought”
great lines. There is also a certain sadness and regret, I feel, even with freedom gained. So true to life,
Gion
