Into oblivion
Nation paid homage,
to the former lady
Prime minister, martyr, in our country;
a few days back, with great show, to accentuate.
Enemies, she had too,
she didn’t care,
was nick named as an ‘iron lady’ too.
The fact is, she was assassinated with rage.
Yet, the Nation forgot another man,
who unified the Nation,
immediately after our independence;
whose birthday falls on the same date.
He was a former union minister,
fought for freedom, along with many a leader;
was nicknamed as a ‘steel man’.
Failing to pay respects, he has been sent into oblivion.

A beautiful poem on what it is trying to convey. Agree totally.
This indeed is unfortunate & so true in the present commercial environment. But I feel sure the departed noble souls care two hoots about all this unfairness & all what goes on here.
An effective eye-opener for the unilateral blind boot-lickers in the political panorama. 5-stars are a prerequisite for such writes !
