Blue Yonder
Let us embark you and I,
On a voyage across the sky,
Aboard a ship of white cloud, billowing
And take a chance on going sailing,
Across the wide blue yonder
And not stay ashore to ponder,
The present or some future,
Just let clear water our love nurture,
As it has and I hope it will,
Whenever you my mind fill.
Let me hold you in my arms,
Embrace you with my charms,
As on the quarter-deck we stand
And wind carries us to fantasy land.
So what, if this is just a fantasy?
We both know that this is destiny,
Even if I make of you an ideal,
We both know what has been real.
Yet, if this is a dream,
Why would I cut short the stream?
Better the delusion end abrupt,
Than one thing between us corrupt.
Let us part now or alone I awake,
Than mark time till you I must forsake.

Whenever possible I buy blank greeting cards and write my own messages. It always feels good to create from my heart. I believe poetry is all around, in every thing and action and spontaneous speech. Renewed by the human spirit's appreciation of beauty and goodness. There is no unchanging standard that can reside in perfection in books rarely read.
I am a husband and father of 2. Starting to write down before forgetting.
Know what I like when I've read it, trying to get to grips with photography.
Gentleman of leisure, not uneducated, all spelling and grammar errors I lay upon my eyesight.
nice one… i liked your theme and visualisation

@Shrenik,
Thanks, Shrenik,
it was one of those poems that bounce around in my mind but always seem to miss the exit,
Gion
