Dwindling Faith

The deep cracks in the parched earth
Inflicted by the harsh rays of the sun
Lift their gaze on empty skies above
In hope of the heavenly flicker
That would rejuvenate them.

I remember this one!! My fav. line is ‘Lift their gaze on empty skies above’ The use of the word ‘lift’ elevates this poem :)

Lovely and rejuvenating for sure!

On second thoughts why call it…Dwindling Faith?? Why should faith dwindle where there is hope?… or have I missed out on some thing?

Very nice indeed. Liked very much.
Short poem hitting the nail very squarely.
Remembered the famous line
“Water saw her master & blushed”

Entire poem in one long sentence. Might have been broken into two or three to make it more poetic. Still great.
