Sepia Memories

The era of yesterday is gone-
And a new age is dawning,
But the days when we had simplicity,
Were really fascinating times!

No cameras, no movies, no photos, no PC’s,
No Digital imaging, no cut-copy-pastes,
No “Search” and copy for Projects, and
No immediate gratifications online…

Those were the beautiful times,
When we actually went out into the rain,
When we played outdoors with balls and marbles,
When we walked to meet our friends,
And when we read by candle-light.

My fervent desire to be present then,
When things were being discovered, invented, uncovered..
Will naturally remain unfulfilled;
For the past will always be the past,
And today shall be yesterday tomorrow.

Beautiful…

You can just sit back and say those were the days…
In this digital times everything is technical and mechanical…

Beautiful, lovely poem of nostalgia, we can heartily identify with and revisit happiness.
Liked it immensely.

Wonderful perspective on nostalgia.

Indeed…our wish of living in a different era will remain unfulfilled. But may be some decades later, somebody somewhere may desire to live in our age.
