Lonesome…

Continues to pour without a pause,

confining me within my house.

Continuing to drench my being,

as I stay indoor in pious pining.

Here I am and you in some far-off shore,

weather playing a spoilsport is what I abhor.

Wish you were here to give me company,

and drive away this usual monotony.

Staying hungry, don’t have the energy to cook,

restless and listless I lie with nothing to look.

My mind wanders to too many places in one go,

as the sun hides and refuses to shower its glow.

What do I do at moments like these?,

wish somebody could tell me, please.

Bored out an out all throughout,

just want to get out of this drought.

Come back and take this loneliness away,

embrace me again and beside me lay.

Hate this hazy, rainy and lonesome day,

as I sit here wishing for yesterday.
