can you imagine

Can you imagine…

A life without buildings

No concrete structures…

Only lush green trees…

With serene hills

Houses made from wood…

And other natural resources

A flourishing wildlife

A different culture…

A different city

Can you imagine….

A life without electricity

Rays from the sun

Wind from the atmosphere

Water from nature

No fans, tubelights…

But more knowledge …

About the wind and their patterns

The sun’s changing positions

A life very different from now

Can you imagine…

A life without cars

Without the rising prices

Of petrol and diesel

Giving nightmares to sundry all

No traffic, air pollution….

Fresh air to breathe…

A future for all

A world thriving with verve

And vitality like heaven

But the future…

Looks rather dark and grim

As manmade catastrophes

Have already started signs

Of how nature can destroy

Global warming is worsening

Every second…

Arctic ice melting

Changes in weather patterns

Hell unleashing

Mankind has led to this…

And only mankind can save the world

Proper planning …

And again a new world

Could be born

A world…

Powered by natural resources

Houses, Offices, Cars…

Everything powered by energies…

Of sun, wind and water

A conscious beginning is needed

Or this poem would one day be destroyed

By forces…

That could wipe out

Existence from the face of this earth.

Back to 10,000 B.C. would be a disaster cos I don’t even know how to light a fire if there’s no matchbox. Development and progress is important but not an unplanned one.
We have to protect our Greens, hills and the mountains. We need to have as many greens and quiet place accessible to us all around.
What we lack is foresight and planning. For every little city we have to have an oasis around with the right quietude and silence where we get to rejuvenate after being with nature.
And its not impossible. All we need are the right leaders with a vision for our future as well as our inheritors.
We need to plant as many saplings as possible so that our children can enjoy the shade from the trees that we planted.
Lets do something about it…
