What you mean is “Dreams” not Expectations !

If you have a dream inside your heart
Don’t ever let it go
For dreams are the tiny seeds
From which all tomorrows grow !

And elaborating further…”Its always dreams on fire, not expectations on fire”…. dear lady

And what a beautiful four liner you have written about the dreams and how true !

As far as what I wrote , I actually meant ‘Expectations’ and not dreams ..Dreams we can’t check by having patience ..expectations we can . it is our expectations that we really need to keep in check that start as a tiny seed of desire and rage into wildfires.. if not checked cause bitterness in our life … hope i make sense ..

Dear Deepti, While I do not contest the emotion in your piece and the co-relation with the artwork, I have merely pointed out a usage error. “Dreams are the sparks, expectation is the wind that fans the sparks and hope is the vehicle that helps spread it ( not flare!) as a wildfire”

Do continue writing. The willingness to correct or not to correct is your choice.

This poem and the accompanying photograph is like a statement suspended in the air and one that makes complete sense!

being over ambitious or expecting too much from yourself can hurt yes….. there has to exist a balance between what you want and what you can get……. what you want to be and what you ‘can’ be….. but then again….. dreams are the first steps of accomplishments…

I totally agree with the thought Dipti for it is expectation that can take you to the gallows and patience — the ultimate saviour- anywhere, anytime.
