English Poetry

If you throw a net on fish

The ocean scatters a net of waves on you

Not only on the shore

But on the sea too

The war of life continues

For a fist of food

The soldiers of water

Turn their life in to a warfield:

Kurukshetra

In front of your sweat drops

The wave crests bend their head.

Fish, prawn, crabs or coalfish

Become the prisoners in your net

And cost the power of your muscles.

After assimilating in your sweat

The ocean turns still saltier.

In pitch dark blindness

When eye stings itself

Boats over long journey

On the death plain

The war with the darkness goes on

As fast as your breath

War with the waves

Every night it’s a fight without an end

Struggle for livelihood

To fill your fist, stomach and feed the world

You wage war against the ocean

On the shore even before the sun wakes up

Lighting the lamps of eyes and waiting for you all

Your affections will be the safe guard for you all
