To write a poem…
A poem, I am unable to write…..!
I have tried it with all my intellect & might
But for this art, neither intellect nor might seems right.
Poetry, it is said, is a spontaneous overflow,
Of powerful emotions;
Of the dormant wonderful hidden inhibitions,
That lie buried in our hearts……
And come alive at moments, we never know about….
Our hearts are like great oceans,
Full of immense treasures and creations,
Of everything in abundance,
Pains, pleasures and sensations….
I have it all, in my heart, to the full….
But Oh! My God, why is the creativity in me so dull……
A poem I want to write,
I do not know, what about?
But I am intensely longing….And am sure..
Some day it will spring up, after all..
A day in my life, I will cherish above all….
Please don’t laugh,
For who knows now….
My poem may be an attempt at ‘You’
To tell you, what I have never been able to tell you ….

DUDE…. you just wasted a poem of mine… i’ve written a poem on the same topic and now i can’t post it coz u beat me to it…… LOL…anyway its really good…i like the conclusion….. keep going..

I am indeed very sorry. But your name also probably signifies being late A…Poorv…Not poorv or before. Am I right ?.
This poem was penned by me in January 1990, and I searched & recovered it from my raddi, enthused by and after knowing about this great site p4poetry….to post it now.
You should still post your poem on the site, since mine is alredy out now, and you have a choice now to make yours more versatile or publish it the way it has emerged. I will very egerly look forward to it. Thanks.

Apoorv, we’d love to read your poem also. Post it in the original form without worrying about a similar theme having been written or posted already. cause poetry is as much about a distinct theme and it is about a twist in the way to say the same thing!
