Blessings of friendship
He came from nowhere
found a dwelling somewhere
in my heart
all started with a petty quarrel
realised and reconciled
thereafter no turning back
all high fly friendship
not just the room we shared
sorrow more than the joy
his fragrant smile
perfumed my soul
1by2 for the dessert
2in 1 thoughts and views
extended its wings
embraced our parents and children
decades frinedship flag held high
others to envy and sigh
colourful petals added every day
to bind the friendship flower allday
he is GOD’S gift I cherished
nature has its way
petals whithered
flowers vanished
shutting the doors of friendship
alas one day
he “is” not to be
presnet only in the past tense “was”
befor the sunset
mortal remains put to rest
GOD has taken back the gift to be with HIM
sure the body and soul departed
left the sweet reminiscences
in the habitat at my heart
for me to cherish
and guide me to eternity

Your poem is very sensitive and indeed carries feelings, so true in life for probably everybody who loses a good friend. It brought back to me, intensely profound remembrance of a very dear, very similar, very loving, close friend of mine who unfortunately I have lost just 4 months back . It is as if you have written this poem for me on my friend, paying him a wonderful tribute. Thank you so very much…
