India
India…
The land of many diversities,
Where every region …
Speaks its own language,
Where every religion …
Spreads one common goal,
The goal …
To stay united,
To live in peace and harmony,
And…
Inspite of so many dialects, languages;
We are bonded together,
As Indians.
India…
The land of many atrocities,
Where a few hundred bucks…
Could have you killed,
Life gets so cheap…
When our own people kill…
To earn livelihood,
As there is so much unemployment,
So much despair,
So much hardship,
To live a normal life.
India…
The land where influence matters,
Where you can do anything…
And go scot-free,
Where money gets priority over ethics,
Where corruption rules…
Where moral people are pulled down,
By whatever means possible.
India…
The land gifted with nature,
Where there is everything…
To satisfy an eager eye,
There are snow-clad mountains…
There is endless sand,
There are mystical rivers…
There is sea near the land,
And the great Indian Ocean,
The forests and the hills…
The diverse flora and the fauna…
That make us unique, special…
And the cynosure of all eyes.
India…
The land of temples…
That radiate our religious diversity,
The glorious forts…
That portray our rich history,
The monuments…
That make us glisten and shine…
On the world map,
The developments…
From the millennium,
Would make every Indian proud.
India…
That I would like to see,
A corruption free society,
A self-reliant economy,
A transparent political and judicial system,
A well addressed redressal forum,
A fully educated society,
A poverty less country…
Where all have equal rights…
As there is no inequality,
In behavior…
Towards the rich and the poor,
Where all can live in brotherhood,
And be ONE.
