Midnight

                                  Out there in the darkness
                               Stenciled patterns on the wall
Cast by a moon that lingers and
                                             weeps
                                  through the shadows tall
                                 soft fingers Draw an outline
                                   that rays of light project
                                a sketch of night-time wonders
That the moons soft light selects
                                        Subtle shadows
                                       of paler darkness
                               painted scenes in subdued Grey
                                    pass across this molten
                                          masterpiece
                             where the midnight shadows play

I’m amazed at the number of poets who actually write in the dark genre or abstract genre, with a multitute of themes. Beautiful imagery!
