Branded mercilessly into my soul
The pain, the longing,
The dissatisfaction, the anger
Burning me alive
Draining my soul
Many grudges still fresh
Old wounds still new
Regret killing me in secret
Guilt piercing my mind
Silently crying, without tears
A smile hiding my fears
Desperate for love
But clutching thin air
Trying to run from life
Just to find pain everywhere
Mouth open in a silent scream
But gagged by my bleeding heart….
