Hampered Harmony
Hampered Harmony
( Dedicated to those IITians in general… who will be passing out this year, in particular )
Think about the years that you had
Crossing the obvious moat,
In a world full of judges and preachers
What was it that kept you afloat ?
See in flashback your days
Gruesome as they were,
How worse or better could they have been
But for your dream’s subtle care
Feel the times you went through
And the moments that mocked you by,
Of random musings unmeasured
While inching towards that high
Live the life you never lived
And do come to tell us the end,
What was it that was broken ?
What were you trying to mend ?
Often it dawns upon us with ease
Like the taste towards the the last bite
How hard we ran to reach the crease !
When the ball was nowhere in sight !
And so it goes the rhapsodic rant
Where at the end happiness begins to show,
You realize you had all you want
Precisely when its time to go…
