Religious Dichotomy

Bilal Maqsood wrote to his wife,
after he made red his knife,
“two hindus, those bastards brutally i slayed,
and for all our muslim brothers i prayed.

i cornered them all, one by one,
sure one had two daughters and one had a son,
but for our God, them i incensed,
may Imran and you be always blessed.

after all that is what Islam bestows
to eradicate him who disrespects our vows
and teaching of Prophet I must fulfill
all bastard Hindus, our enemies i must kill”

“Yesterday as i was going home with Imran” she wrote back
amidst a curfew and a religious attack
Imran and I were gripped with fear
a bearded face started coming near

he shoved Imran away from me
and pinched me straight to the floor
started tearing off my honour which noone could see
my voices couldn’t be heard by one hundred crore

from nowhere then a man emerged
onto the monster he at once surged
talwars and fists went lustily around
till both fell bleeding to the ground

” sister I am dying but you are fine”
said the voice of the stranger divine ”
Bilal Maqsood’s tears soaked his wife’s letter
as he read on to the last written line

the two dying men had said their last just before the dim,
the stranger had said Ram, the bearded one Rahim.
